My poor toe

Here is the result of our hike. My poor toe got a blister on it. I think it was the hike down the hill that caused it, cuz I sure didn't feel it on the way up or thru the cave. As of yet, it still hasn't popped. but I'm not looking forward to that. Today I have been very sore, had a real difficult time going up and down our stairs, plus I like to sit indian style and sure couldn't do that today either.

Timpanogos Caves

So we decided to go do something fun. On Saturday we called and they said they were booked for the day so we went today, since church was cancelled due to the Temple Dedication.
Whew, Had I known it was 1 1/2 miles STRAIGHT up hill, we would have left the 2 little ones with someone. Anyway, when we got up this morning, of course it was raining. We decided to go anyway. When we got up there, first they said, no strollers, so we had to take the stroller back to the van and decided to go for a drive. We kept heading up the canyon, since it cost $6 just to get into the canyon. well we took the alpine loop. well I guess I didn't loop and ended up coming out of provo canyon, BUT we did get to see Bridal Veil Falls

Then we decided to go ahead and go for the hike. And the rain did stop. What a hike it was. it was So beautiful.

Here is the entrance to the cave. I think we were still about 1/4 of the way to the top. Katrina was quite a trooper, and walked the whole way up.

The cave was very beautiful, and very narrow at many points. Kyle was handed off quite a bit.

Kyle barely made it out of the cave before he fell asleep. He slept most the way down. Going down was so much easier than going up.

All in all, it was an awesome experience. I'm so glad we were able to do it.

Girls camp

We had an awesome time at girls camp. And had lots of "unexpected" visitors
First we have Captain Lisa. Isn't she cute?

Captain Ashley

Captian Briana

Then we have the wife of Captain Moroni, aka Sandra Layland

Captain Moroni, aka Trent Layland

King Benjamin, aka Bishop Hyer

Parley P Pratt, aka Weston Fisher

Our Awesome Group

Here is Diana, our awesome camp director. Then we had a nice visit from our Relief society. They talked to the girls about things that are in the strength of youth pamphlet.

Amy Nielson (RS)

Trudi Brown and Wendy Ondricek (RS)

And our Awesome Bishop. After the RS spoke, we had a box for the girls, they were given an opportuinty to write a question and have it answered anonymously. The bishop got the privlidge of answering the questions

Our Awesome hike to a water fall

We had a war between the girls and the leaders. It was truely amazing. We had lined a field with Flour bombs. and the Good (girls) had to hit the Bad (leaders) with the bombs, and vice versa. when you got hit with a bomb, you had to fall to the ground and your leader (Luke skywalker, bad, or Princess Leaha, good) had to come touch you and save you. It was great. Eventually Good took over evil.
The dark forces

Good and Evil (Melissa Cheney and Sam Cheney)

after the war (Bridgette and Joan)

The bishop and his wife

To end camp, we had a wonderful program. We were given the opportunity to follow the iron rod. The leaders had made a path with the "rod". then the girls were blindfolded and had to follow the "rod" to the Tree of life. It was so beautiful and amazing

Thank you to all who made camp possible.

More of Arizona

We visited the Bisbee queen copper mine. it was really cool. we took this little train into the mine. Can't say I've ever been in a mine before. It was pretty chilly inside the mine, luckily we went to there website and saw that it was only 47 inside the mine and took jackets

We visited the Reid Park Zoo.
